I have tried blogging before but my busy life prevented me devoting much thought to what I might like to share or muse on. How life changes. I was a 40ish career girl in an urban centre - I had just bought a little blue truck. I owned my own house with a tenant in the basement, I had a job that I was planning to stay in, and I had a wide ranging circle of friends and could be out of the house every night if I chose. Now, I live in a rural community. No sidewalks, no streetlights, no friends to drop in on. My social life lives on in Cyberspace but it is just not the same. My little man has occasioned some changes in my lifestyle. Having a baby definitely turns your life upside down. and backwards in some cases.
He is living with both parents and the Dear Hubby (DH) is adjusting to the chaos we have brought to his life. DH was living alone and enjoying it but being a parent means that we get to move in and drive him up the wall. The little man will have an elementary school in his neighborhood. There is a library and a grocery store nearby. We have a pizza place and a liquor store, what more could a girl need? A coffee shop... yep, got one of those, too and the bonus of a dollar store! Who knew that in the middle of nowhere, I could have my day to day needs met!
We walk with Grandma and Auntie a few times a week. 4.5 km. When they walk around here, they don't just fool around... we WALK. I have learned to use a wood stove to heat the house. I have come to understand why parents think you should have kids, too! They are a lot of fun... but it is like climbing Everest. If you have an interest, it is probably the best adventure you could ever have. If you aren't interested? It could be the hardest slog you ever do...
So now you know about my life and I don't quite know what I will post about. could be knitting, could be reading, could be frugality, could be about green living... or anything else that I do. Breastfeeding anyone? Laundry, dishes, vacuum???? LOL LOL LOL
Welcome to my world.
